Children

Children will discover all the academic concepts adapted to their age and abilities.

The children's art program helps develop the various skills needed to perform the wonderful task of drawing and painting.

We can all learn to draw!

(Classes are of 9 students maximum for optimal learning and monitoring).

The first step is observation, children are guided in different exercises where the primary objective is to learn to see.

They discover that everything can be done from geometric figures, which is the basis of any drawing, be it traditional, manga, comic, character creation or realism.

By managing to synthesize the structure, the drawing will develop in a more successful and pleasant way!

In the next step we use exercises where the line is the protagonist, exercises with few details, larger and more general shapes.

It is the most important step, the line being the vital form of any drawing.

The line expresses the personality, the strength and the essence that the drawings will have.

Then comes the time for exercises with more complex and detailed shapes.

The student learns to see and draw volumes, the scales of values, shadows, midtones and lights.

The exercises will show children a world of infinite possibilities.

The projects gradually become more complex and personalized.

We begin the stage of relating shapes to each other, children learn to see negative spaces, distances between shapes, and we begin the stage of structuring the design.

When we are already aware of both the observation tools and the painting techniques, we begin to learn about tones, color combinations, atmospheres, perspective…

Evolutionary techniques adapted to each child: Pencils, charcoal, pastel, watercolor, ink, oil/acrylic Drawing/painting courses, comics, manga, illustration.

Techniques

Pastel

Pastels are powdered pigments mixed with enough gum or resin to bind them together into a dry, compact paste. The word pastel derives from the paste that is thus formed. This paste is molded into the shape of a finger-sized bar that is used directly on the surface to be worked on (usually paper or wood). They are strong, opaque colors whose greatest difficulty is the adhesion of the pigment to the surface to be painted, which is why special atomized fixatives (spray) are usually used at the end of the drawing.

Pencil

Watercolor

Watercolor is a medium of colors diluted in water, which produces a transparent paint with soft colors, whose intensity varies according to the amount of water we add. Watercolor can reveal the background of the paper, which in this case acts as the true tone.

Oil / Acrylic

Acrylic paint is a water-soluble acrylic resin mixed with pigments that dry into water-resistant layers. It can be used on any type of surface, dries quickly, and does not yellow over time. Its film is strong, flexible, and elastic. It allows for both glazes and textured impasto, although the thickness of the paint layer decreases slightly due to water evaporation. It can also be applied opaquely, completely obscuring what is underneath.

Oil paint has an oily consistency. Its main virtue is the corrective capacity this medium offers and the quality of its finish, as its oily consistency provides a rich color nuance, giving body to each brushstroke, and maintaining the texture of the line unchanged until it dries. It is precisely the versatility of oil paint that makes it more complicated to handle than other techniques.

Charcoal

Charcoal is the first technique we learn when we want to start in the arts. This is because it allows us to learn how to provide the proportions of light and shadows. It is a basic skill for building the volume. Many people have reservations about this type of plastic expression, in many cases, because they consider it to be a basic stage of painting.
