Nancy ter Horst

Nancy ter Horst is a tattoo artist, botanical artist, and visual artist specializing in classical and realistic oil portraits. She studied fine art at the Academia Minerva and the Barcelona Academy of Art and holds a Master’s degree in Art History from the University of Amsterdam.

She has been a tattoo artist since 2008 and has traveled the world, working in New York, Melbourne, and Costa Rica, among others. As a botanical artist, she is a member of the Netherlands Botanical Artists Association, with whom she has participated in several exhibitions and publications since 2020. Her oil paintings focus on portraiture and the human figure in general.

She loves several artistic techniques such as watercolor, oil painting, charcoal, pencil and silverpoint drawing.

In recent years, she’s wanted to focus less on tattooing and more on painting, and that’s why being a teacher and sharing the love of art inspires her and adds to her artistic experience.
